Great weekend for racing, the weather cooperated nicely.  Saturday's crit course was nice for the most part, but featured a narrow, steep, downhill turn on the southwest end of the course that was a little scary in a pack.  There was a surge at the start of the second lap that I went with, maintained, and got a gap and managed grow it out some.  One guy bridged and worked with me for two laps but dropped off on the short climb.  Fortunately the pack didn't organize until the last lap and I stayed away for the win.  I have bruises on my wrist from resting them on my bars trying to be aero.  Average HR was 189, average speed 39.7 km/h for 23.8 km.  Despite being the second to last race the fans were GREAT, kept me going well after I started asking myself "what the hell am I doing off the front like this?"

TT was short (5km).  Inexplicably I did better in the criterium...

RR was a great course, made me wish I did the cat 4 race (although I'm glad I wasn't in the cat 4 crit - I need some more racing before I'll be comfortable going 4 wide into a downhill corner at 50+ km/h).  Formed a group with 6 others after the KOM point (sharp spike at 24 km) and got a nice paceline going to the base of the finishing climb.  Everyone in that group said after the race how it was nice to work together.  Put in a dig with about 1km left to create the winning gap.

Fun weekend but now that I have *some* racing experience it's time to move up.
